Location
We are situated in the very popular, quiet Obere Steinmatte area.
Within 5 minutes you are at the buzzing center but also at the valley station Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the main cable car to the skiing and hiking area.
How to get here
The world-famous mountain village at the foot of the Matterhorn is car-free. Private vehicles are allowed until Täsch (5km from Zermatt).
You can park your car in The Matterhorn Terminal in Täsch which offers many parking spaces. The road Täsch-Zermatt is closed to normal traffic.
The only allowed means of transport are carriages, horse-sleighs and electric cars.

By train

The railway from Brig and Visp has a direct connection to Zermatt. The "Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn" takes you on a 90 minute journey into the alpine resort of Zermatt.
Shuttle trains take 12 minute from Täsch to Zermatt.

By foot

If you would like to enjoy a first breath of Swiss Alpine air you can go by foot and reach the Balma Apartment with a 15 minutes walk from the railway station in Zermatt.
